If you have
ever seen a Pileated Woodpecker you’ll never forget it. This bird is the largest of the woodpeckers
measuring 19” long, so it requires a large feeder. Woodpeckers use their tail as
a third leg to prop themselves up while they feed. This feeder has large tail brace to
accommodate the Pileated Woodpeckers as well as the smaller Downy male and
female shown in the photo. The feeder by
Birds Choice is made of solid cedar for durability and is a great way to
attract the clinging birds.
