This “Birds Choice” feeder is designed to attract some perching birds and ground feeding birds such as cardinals. It is made of solid cedar for durability. It’s constructed of plated screws only - no brads or nails which tend to pull out over time. The hinge on top is plated metal and the easy removable base (powder coated steel screen) is perforated to allow rain to drain through without spoiling the seed. Hang the smaller platform feeders on a branch or shepherds hook or deck hook.
