Woodpeckers feed upside down as comfortably as
right side up. In other words they
“cling” to the trunk and branches of trees to find bugs and larvae. The added benefit of this feeder is that it
makes it more difficult for squirrels and blackbirds to feed on the suet. It is great fun to watch the woodpeckers hang
upside down and feed from suet.
