Bird Baths

Water in a bird bath is critical to the survival of wild birds.  In addition to regulating body temperature, water lost through respiration and excretion must be replaced.  Further, wild birds must bathe year around to keep their feathers fit for flying.  A convenient way to do this is with a bird friendly bird bath.  We suggest that the bath be no more than three inches deep since small birds can't withstand deeper water.  Further, the bird bath should have a rough surface in order to provide secure footing.
